ALPHA60 Winter 2013 Shoot by Wade Blackford

by Carl Keeley

A sneak peak into my Alpha60 winter 2013 look book and campaign shoot.

The brief from Alex & Georgie from Alpha60 was to create a high fashion look that show cased hard blunt lines and thick edges. Now I couldn’t cut our model Emeila’s hair to achieve this look and Emeila’s own hair  was a little short. This is how I got there.

1. Apply KEVIN.MURPHY ANTI.GRAVITY Spray and blow dry using  the K.M. SMOOTHING.BRUSH then smooth out with a flat iron I then added PARKSEBEL hair wefts to create length and thickness through the ends. Do this using a latex glue which is easily removed at the end of the day.

2. The next step is to split the hair down the middle and smooth out so both sides are brought to the front and cut blunt, cutting only the hair extensions and not Emeila’s hair to create a thick edge and leaving her hair untouched.

3. Then using K.M. SESSION.SPRAY smooth down behind the ear, using a make up pad and clip secure behind the ear and allow to set.

Thats how I created this edgy style without effecting Emeila’s own hair.
Hope you like it.
Wade.
